| Bio: | Name: Isabella Passerini Age: 17 Nationality: Venetian Allegiance and why: revolutionaries/suffragists Isabella, like many of her profession, slept on silken sheets, and dressed in the finest gowns while eating little-or nothing-for her dinner. She’ll fight more for the plight of women than any political faction, but feels the revolution and suffragist movements fit hand in glove. Social Status and/or Occupation: Base-born daughter of an aristocrat, courtesan Belief physical description of your character: A long-legged, curvy figure, Isabella exudes femininity-and does everything in her power to enhance that. She has a fine, fair olive complexion, a riot of dark curls and (startlingly) green eyes. Her face is somewhere between oval and heart shaped, with aristocratic and expressive features, while her body is full in all the right places, with a small, round belly between. Isabella has a cultivated alto voice with a moderate accent and-in the right company-a smooth, graceful way of moving. She no longer wears the latest in fashion, but Isabella /will/ go to great lengths to make what she does have look flattering. Brief description of your characters history, including family: Isabella was born to an aging courtesan, and followed in her mother’s footsteps. Her father, a minor Venetian aristocrat, was less than thrilled to be saddled with a bastard, and a girl at that, but even as a child Isabelle’s resemblance was uncanny. She was accepted, but not with the joy and open arms a robust, though base born, son might be. Isabella stayed in her mother’s apartments as a child, already learning the early lessons of her career. Although her mother died when Isabella was still a child, she had secured a place for the girl with a compatriot, where she learned the gentle art of seduction. Later, an elder brother who’d made a bit of a pet out of “Poco Bella,” introduced her to his friends and unwittingly initiated Isabella’s affair with a certain Parisian with whom she later began traveling. While on the outside, Isabella is dallying in the seat of fashion and beauty (and visiting a French lover) she’s more quietly trying to avoid the crime and political intrigue of her home. Her escape to France finds Isabella embroiled in the very situation she hoped to avoid; most of her interesting gentleman friends have already lost their heads, and she’s on none to stable footing herself. Thankfully, Isabella is no Mademoiselle de la Vallière or Madame de Montespan, which-along with her penchant for speaking out against the unfair treatment of women-has left the young woman some political breathing room.
